To be fair, only the demo version of the video player is a free download, the full version will set you back another 30 eur.
I blogged about this recently. Anyone got any experience with the 2 media player products that appear to be on the market? |

Looks interesting I was most surprised that it supports the new Zune media players

Doesn’t work with the GO 300,500 or 700 either unless you want to downgrade firmware to 5.23 and loose out on all the latest functionality.

Where did you find that out sooty? I can't find much detail at all on their website.

The alternative product mentioned, from http://www.mobilnova.com/MobilNova/en/ seems to have good reviews , and works on ALL models and Software (but no sound on the RIDER).

When I saw this post the other day I emailed them to check as I new previously that the Media Studio for TomTom required a downgrade to 5.23, they confirmed that the player is the same and the firmware requirment hasn’t changed.
They blame the TomTom SDK for them not being able to produce a viable product |

I am currently using the Media Studio product on my Tomtom 910 at version 6.522. No problems other than I have to move the .avi files from my desktop into the Media folser on the TOMTOM using explorer. The movie player works fine. Oh - and it doesn't pause the movie when the car is moving. But that's not a real problem, as I wouldn't be watching movies then anyway, and the kids are able to watch them in the back on long motorway journeys - when I don't need directions!

Personally, I think that Makayama's customer service stinks!
I bought their media player software for my 910 and it hasn't worked since the day I bought it. I've emailed them several times to try and get it resolved, but I've never even had so much as a reply. £20 wasted! (If anyone at Makayama is listening, please get in touch) |
