Hello all i have a tomtom Go Classic and on the sd card is the Tomtom go 300 Version and guess what it dont work and i dont have a CD Have everything elce thow sad.gif or can anu one help me with just the basic software? As i have got the Maps ok which is the part that is the Moneys worth. Thanks for any help Steve

You can download the latest system software for free from the TomTom website.

You may need to re-activate. You will need the map product code to re-activate, which is, alas, stuck on the paper cover of the CD....

I have tryed that and i am still getting my Red X when it starts up i have even tryed formatting the card and just putting the software on there but still nothing i have done this via the USB Lead

I wonder HOW you've ended up with a Go unit and a 300 SD card? :?:

Anyway, the same firmware should run on both machines, so if you have downloaded and installed it correctly, it should work.
Whether you can get it to read the maps that belong to another unit is another matter. TomTom really don't want that to happen.

Well i have installed the Update loads of times formatted in Fat and FAT32 using a seperat card reader. All the files are going on to the Card ok using the USB Cable. I was wondering if any one had an older version of the update to try that as i am still getting the Reg Cross Any idears any one i have even tryed resetting quite a few times as well!

Just to clarrify things i got theis tomtom of ebay with the problem thinking that it should be easy enouth to sort out i will try my hardest to get this working as i realey do think that this is a software issue unless someone elce has seen this before and is going to tell me diffrent in the mean time i would like to try an older updat to see if this work ok or not thanks for all your replys !!!
