Not a very well-known unit on here I'm afraid.
but Vista seems to cause all sorts of problems with MOST satnav utilities!

Hi Jimmyb, i to have the same problem with the updates using Vista. The PDF instructions for doing the update don't seem to work and i cannot sync the device.
This aside, how do you find the device in general use??

Phil.

Just to ad to my above posting, I use Vista 64bit so perhaps this might be a problem too.
Luckily our other pc runs XP so i will try the updates on that machine and see what happens.

Been using the Panasonic device lately and it does perform well for general use. The speaker is a bit too quiet though even on the loudest volume.
The safety cam allert is quite good and the general accuracy is pretty good overall.
I would like the TMC unit but cannot get hold of one anywhere at all, probably because Panasonic decided to drop support for the PND.

This aside, i will just use it till it fails, hopefully outside the warranty period and then just buy another as it was not that expensive.

I like the 5 inch screen and the windscreen mount, the latter being much much better than the Tomtom mounts.
Sorry Tomtom but this is just my opinion.
