The admin of this forum take a dim view of software piracy, please don't discuss illicit maps/firmware.

I know you did.
As v8 software is not currently available for the x20 models and the v8 maps certainly aren't either, it rather begs the question: how have you done this legally? Answer that and we can have a discussion.... |

Answer that and we can have a discussion.... In the German Forum someone says SDK works with 8.011 on his TT One 3rd. Click the BMP to see his 4th menu screen. I bought it off someone that was selling their 920 and had purchased the software and map from Tomtom. The software is free from TomTom. Maps are licensed for use on one machine only. To install it on another machine you would be breaking the terms of that license. QUOTE It's se version running in emmulation mode. Sorry, don't understand the sentence. |

Well that is what it says when I start it. Sorry, still don't understand.... What, where, how? Do you see that on the TT's screen when you first switch it on? Do you see that on the TT's screen when you go to the info page (tapping signal strength bars/tap version box) Do you see that on the PC screen when you run Home? Or something else? Is that the exact wording you see, complete with spelling mistake? |

Stop being childish. If you want to resort to name calling, do it off list.

What I'm trying to say is that 'what you see and where' may be obvious to you when you write about it, but all we have to go on is your description, so being as precice as possible helps a lot and saves a lot of time.

This could be TomTom Work that is causing to confusion, I noticed similar discussions elsewhere about a newer version of TomTom Work that had people wondering - its that rare that none of us recognise the release versions - I certainly don't have 8,011 Navcore on my PC for any of the devices I have. - Mike

It comes up on the first screen on start up (not the splash screen) white writing on black background, SE version x20 emulation mode, same as when it tells you the phone is connected.
