GO 920T: worth the re-investment?

In a short while, the new 920T will become available, making the new x20 series finally complete. But is this rightfully the high-end model?

actually i thought it was pretty obvious why this was the last to be launced in the TT range. Simply coz TT could never get TMC working properly! A flagship model with dodgy TMC?! makes TT look even worse!

my guess is that they had some problems integrating the MEMS technology (EPT) into the GPS

The review suggests by implication that the GO Classic didn't have an accelerometer built into it. It does and it worked OK on my Classic. It looses itself after about 40 seconds though.

Yes it had an accelerometer.. so it could vary it's speed along the route.. but it needed a gyroscope to guess when you made a turn, so exits from tunnels where routes diverged was always a problem, so 40 seconds was always the best it could do.

The sensor could/can detect changes in course because it was dual axis.
