Only a few days left and the year 2008 will be history. Gone will be a busy twelve months in which we’ve tried to keep you as updated as possible on everything that has happened in the area of personal navigation devices. We did this with news, reviews, specials and –let’s not forget- our forum. A place which has grown to be *the* community for questions on personal navigation, all largely thanks to the unselfish efforts and enthusiasm of our moderators and a large number of active members. For this, we want to thank you all!
Memorable
Of course 2008 also had its memorable moments. Some things that spring to mind: the merger of Navman and Mio, the 2008 CeBIT fair, Sony quitting the European navigational market and the complete takeover of Tele Atlas by TomTom. Also, loads of cool new devices were added to our database. We can think especially of the Mio Moov’s, the new Navigon devices, many new nüvi’s by Garmin and the GO x40 LIVE models from TomTom.2009
Only a few more days and we’ll be starting a new year with hopefully a lot more navigational news and developments. There’ll be new hardware, new software and maps, and hopefully some completely newOf course we’ll report on all those new features at yourNAV first!
But there will also be some news about this site itself. We’re planning a complete re-design of the site in the first quarter of 2009, with a new look, lots of added functionality and more information on hand.
But before all that, we from yourNAV want to wish you all - our frequent, casual and new visitors - a very happy and above all healthy 2009!
Happy New Year to you all, and to all you hold dear.
Cheers!
