The unit was already available in the regions around it's home country Taiwan, but the Mio C728 will now also be available in our regions from December this year. Noteworthy novelties of this new SatNav unit are the enormous 7 inch touch screen and the extensive multimedia features of the device.TV and Radio
The C728 is standard shipped with a dual DVB-T TV tuner with which local digital TV and radio broadcasts can be received. These channels can be viewed in a rather large screen format, thanks to the 7 inch LCD touch screen with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. Of course this also means the measurements of the C728 are also a rather hefty: 18.2 x 12.3 x 2.3 centimetres.The device contains 2 GB of internal storage, multiple Audio/Video input ports and an expansion slot for SD cards onto which the users can put their favourite movies, hundreds of digital photos or their favourite music. The sound can be played through the built-in twin speaker sound system, but the C728 also features an FM transmitter to be able to play the sound through the internal car stereo system. Real-time TMC traffic information and pre-installed safety camera locations are also standard shipped with the device.
The Mio C728 will be available from December and the introductory price will be ¤ 499 (£ 430).
