JVC Introduces KV-PX70 in EuropeWhile one electronics multinational (Philips) has backed out because 'the market is already too crowded', another one (JVC) introduces it's first PND to the same market. Even better: JVC has already shipped their first KV-PX70's to the stores!

Feature packed
Some time ago, JVC announced the availability of the KV-PX9 in the US. And now it's Europe's turn. And lots may be said about this PND, but not that it lacks any features. The JVC KV-PX70 is filled to the brim with them! There's a 4.3 inch touch screen, a SiRF Star III chipset, Bluetooth for handsfree calling, Text-to-speech commands, standard RDS/TMC support, an integrated MP3 player, and a video player. It can be yours for the (recommended retail) price of ¤529 (£ 355).

Account manager Olav Evers of JVC is very happy with their new PND and foresees a very bright future for it: "We believe this is a very nice offering, both for customers and dealers: it's got a very good price and nice features, but also an attractive margin".

Lookalike?
We think that this new JVC unit bears a striking resemblance to at least one of Medion's PNDs: the 470L. On the outside they look almost identical, and the software seems the same too, since they are both based on the GoPal PE Navigator 2.0. There are also too many similarities with Route 66's Chicago PND to be just coincidental. Did they all shop at the same supplier?
