Mio expands portfolio with C250There's no stopping Mio. Even though the recently-announced H610 models are not yet available, they have introduced another new model to the market. The C250 is a Personal Navigation Device that is compact, and has a very modest pricetag.

Targeted above C210
The C250's name already gives away the device's positioning: right above the C210. Yet the differences between the two models are considerable. The C250 features a bigger screen (3.5 inch), it's dimensions (107.5 mm x 80.7 mm x 23.5 mm) are a bit larger, and the battery is now built-in, but can no longer be changed by the user. The C250 also features an MP3 file playback option.

All other specifications are identical between the C210 and the C250: they have the same 400 MHz CPU, 64 MB of internal memory, the renowned SiRF Star III chipset and optional TMC support.

Software
The Mio C250 ships as standard with Tele Atlas maps of the region of purchase, combined with the major roads of Europe. The software is MioMap v3, a variant of the iGO navigational software, which was adapted especially for Mio.

Fast
This new Mio model will probably become available very soon, because Mio want their share of the very important annual December sales. The recommended retail price for the device is ¤ 250.

Of course we wil try to lay our hands on this new unit and subject it to an in-depth test.
