Is this becoming a tradition in PND-land? First there was Philips, and now Sony has also decided to postpone the introduction of their new PND's.

Big consumer-electronics manufacturers and navigational-equipment: it's starting to seem like a very difficult combination. Because two weeks ago Philips announced that they were going to wait a little while longer with the introduction of their new Personal Navigation Devices, and now Sony does the same thing. The Nav-U80 and Nav-U81T units, which where announced on Sept 1st, won't be available in the shops by November, but 'early next year'.

Confirmation
Sony has already confirmed the delay, and promised us to send us an official response containing the exact reason. We'll keep you posted...
